We'd like to introduce you to one such person - the voice on the other end of the phone - the first person you talk to when you call Ministry Partners, Helen France.
Helen
was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. After high school, she chose Westmont
College in Santa Barbara, CA to continue her education, and earned a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Elementary education. It was there that Helen met her
husband, Joe, and they began their life in ministry together.
Joe and Helen moved to Chicago where Joe attended and graduated from Moody Bible Institute in the aviation program. Soon afterwards they were accepted as members of Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT) and served in the Philippines from 1966 to 1975. Joe and Helen then served for 5 years on the staff at the JAARS center (the technical arm of WBT), and followed the Lord's calling to serve in Indonesia from 1983 to 1986.
Finishing their service abroad, Joe and Helen returned to the former WBT home office in Huntington Beach, CA from 1987 to 1999 in the personnel department. In addition to serving the Lord, Joe and Helen also are the proud parents of 4 children and 4 grandchildren! They are currently on leave of absence from Wycliffe, and Helen began working for Ministry Partners in February of 2000.
